Bench of Dreams
Peace visionary Robert Muller initiated the concept of Bench of Dreams. To dream, sit facing the magnificent view, holding a pebble in each hand. Throw one in the bay for the Earth to remember your dream, and keep the other with you so you remember it. The Bench of Dreams is part of SEAT, an art project of Topher Delaney and Kika Probst from Seam Studio. We hope you'll come and wish on the Bench of Dreams at Fort Mason.

Three dreamers

Catherine shares Robert's dream for a more peaceful world and adapted the concept to the SEAT exhibit. Fausto Wolf designed this beautifully simple redwood bench and Marc Arseneault gave his time and woodworking expertise.

Marc-Andre Arseneault got his training as a cabinetmaker in his native Quebec, Canada. He first worked as a toymaker and later, evolved into a boat builder, which aligned with his passion for sailing and travel. He has lived and sailed all over the world and continues to race here in California. He recently won the Doublehanded Race to the Farallone Islands. Over the years, Marc is now known as a master woodworker and he has many creative projects all over the Bay Area to show for his success. In Sausalito, he built a hexagonal room looking over the bay and currently, he is building a wine bar in the Mission with his construction company, MAARSWoodworking and Building INC. Marc makes his home on the Coast with his wife, Claire, and their two teenagers. For any inquiries, please contact him at titimarc@yahoo.com.
